FOIL & LABELS, VARNISH, LEATHER LASERING

WITH ECOMARK

Foils and labels, lacquers, natural and artificial leather - there are practically no limits to laser engraving. Whether codes, serial numbers, company logos and company names or control panels in the automotive industry - laser marking guarantees permanently legible marking results that are resistant to all kinds of stress.

PERFECT FOR FOIL LASER ENGRAVING

AND LABEL INSCRIPTION

Special foils and labels are used as packaging or adhesive foils, especially for workpieces that can only be marked directly with difficulty or not at all. In this way, all the advantages of laser marking can still be used, especially the durability and the fast, highly efficient integration of the marking in the manufacturing process. Laser marking with a fibre laser or CO2 laser can be used for both release films and cover films.

Removal films are usually multi-layer films with an adhesive layer and different colour layers. When marking the film, the top layer of colour is removed by laser. This creates a clearly visible contrast. This is also possible with single-colour foils if they differ in colour from the workpiece underneath. Despite the removal, the sealing properties of the film are not damaged by laser marking.

Laser marking is also well suited for envelope foils. These are normally covered with a transparent laminate layer, under which the laser inscription is produced with very clearly visible contrast. Due to the colour change, product information is clearly legible and permanently inscribed.

IDEAL FOR LASER ENGRAVING LACQUER

Lacquer is also well suited for laser marking. In this form of marking, paint that has been applied to a workpiece or component is removed by material ablation. The day-and-night design of switches in vehicle cockpits is a typical application example.

Depending on the colour composition of the workpiece and the lacquer, very good, precise and detailed contrasts can be created that are easily recognisable, whether fonts, symbols and graphics, logos or specific product information. Material removal of lacquer is particularly suitable for parts that are not well suited for laser marking themselves.

EFFICIENT LASER CUTTING OF GENUINE AND IMITATION LEATHER

When laser marking leather, the top layer of material is vaporised by CO2 lasers. Whether natural or imitation leather is used for this non-contact marking is usually irrelevant. However, it should be noted that some imitation leather contains PVC, which means that harmful gases can be produced during processing.

The usually tough material leather is laser-marked with very high contrast and sometimes deep material removal and thus permanently refined. Laser marking on leather scores points due to the wide range of possible applications. Whether shoes, clothing such as belts or jackets, briefcases or advertising material. The CO2 laser marks any leather material cleanly, permanently and precisely.
