GLASS & CERAMICS LASER ENGRAVING WITH ECOMARK:

THE PROGRESS OF LABELLING

Whether beer, wine or champagne glasses, glass models, mirrors or trophies: Engravings on glass have a noble effect and convey something special. Glass engravings can be created using a wide variety of processes. Up to now, sandblasting has mostly been used for glass engraving. However, glass marking by laser is becoming more and more popular for glass engraving - the efficiency and quality advantages are simply unmistakable.

The same applies to ceramic engraving. Here, too, the range of applications is wide: laser marking is ideal for decorative ceramics made of earthenware, pottery and porcelain, such as tableware and decorative items, but also for sanitary ceramics, technical ceramics and high-performance ceramics that are used, for example, in medical technology, engine construction or mechanical and plant engineering. Compared to conventional processes such as ink printing or labelling, laser engraving shines here not only because of its abrasion resistance and the precision of the marking, but also because of favourable production costs.

Laser marking by CO2 laser also allows fast, economical, efficient processes and highly precise marking results in a top quality for these sensitive materials, which cannot be produced so easily with other processes.

LASER GLASS WITH ECOMARK:

PRECISE, GENTLE, FLEXIBLE

The matting effect created in the glass with the CO2 laser enables the execution of the smallest, very filigree details as well as particularly sharp and precise engravings of decorations, images, logos, lettering, calibration marks or codes. In this way, completely new, fascinating effects can be achieved, and without any problems in all shapes that are possible with glass.

Templates and foils that previously had to be applied and removed again are no longer needed. All desired markings can be processed flexibly and quickly and can be easily changed within a very short time. This reduces the amount of work immensely. TheCO2 laser only scratches the surface of the glass. Compared to conventional methods, the non-contact processing leads to a reduction of stress in the glass and minimises glass breakage. This laser engraving is gentle on the material and does not produce any dirt or dust, so there is no need for cleaning.

Laser engraving of glass is mainly used in the catering and household sectors, as an advertising medium and for events in the sports or event sector. Laser engraving is also suitable for interior design, e.g. for the design of mirrors or for glass showcases in retail and for exhibitions.

CERAMIC LASERING WITH ECOMARK:

PERFECT IN RESULT AND EFFICIENCY

The materials clay and porcelain are perfectly suited for laser marking. Whether tableware and decorative items, tiles and components, medical implants or general utility and ornamental products: The CO2 laser enables precise, permanent and high-quality laser marking. Due to the non-contact process, no pressure is exerted on the ceramic structure. Fractures or cracks in the stoneware or porcelain are therefore a thing of the past. You can also forget about tool wear.

The main method used is material removal. This creates a micro-fine indentation on the surface, which can additionally emphasise the engraving even more through colour contrasts. Different contrasts can be achieved depending on the laser power used. Individualisation options can be designed and varied without great effort. This makes marking processes highly efficient and time-saving. Whether lettering, logos, graphics, complex patterns, QR codes or complex ornaments: the CO2 laser ensures the best results and applies all desired markings cleanly and with repeat accuracy.
